If your pet is in immediate danger, having a seizure, bleeding heavily, was hit by a car, or is showing signs of poisoning, do not wait. Go to your nearest emergency veterinary hospital right now.

URGENT BUT NOT LIFE-THREATENING

For situations that need attention but are not immediately life-threatening, call us at (205) 754-7542 during business hours. If we are closed, leave a message and we will call you back as soon as possible.

Is the Pet Help Desk free?

Yes. There is no charge to call. We are here to help you find the right resource.
Do I have to live in your service area?

Our programs serve seven counties in Central Alabama. If you are outside that area, call anyway. We will do our best to connect you with resources near you.
What if I call after hours?

Leave a voicemail and we will return your call on the next business day. If it is a true emergency, call 911 or go to your nearest emergency vet.
Can I email instead of calling?

Yes. Send us an email at angels@animal-angels.org and we will respond within one business day. For urgent matters, calling is faster.
What kind of help can you provide?

Spay/neuter assistance through SNIP, crisis stabilization through The Bridge, housing support, pet food resources, training help, adoption support, and more. If we do not offer it directly, we connect you to a partner who does.
Do I need paperwork before calling?

No. Just call. We walk you through everything on the phone and handle any paperwork later based on which program fits.
